“My 7 favourite characters in the bible are Jehu the son of Nimshi, Joab the Captain of David’s army, King Cyrus of Persia, Samuel the Prophet, King David, Moses and the Apostle Paul.
They all had three things in common- 1.They were loved and favoured by God, 2. they were used by God in a very dramatic and significant way and 3. they were all murderers with plenty of blood on their hands. The morale of the tale- the Lord’s ways are not our ways. He forgives His own quickly and easily, His grace and mercy abounds and He sees the hearts and minds of men and not just their outward appearances. Don’t ever judge anyone or despise their circumstances lest you yourself may be judged. Don’t ever write anyone off or leave them for dead because you don’t know what God may use them for tomorrow.”
